Yes, on the rear half of the vehicle. Alberta does not allow aftermarket tint film on the windshield or the front driver and passenger windows. Rear side windows and the back glass can be tinted to any darkness, as long as the vehicle has outside mirrors on both sides. Full details are in our guide to Alberta window tint rules.
No. Alberta has no legal percentage for aftermarket film on the front side windows, so 20%, 35% and 50% film are all treated the same way there. Glass that came tinted from the factory is not affected.
It depends on the film, the number of windows and the vehicle. Nano-ceramic film costs more than metallic or classic film. Contact our Calgary shop for a quote. For typical price ranges, see window tint costs in Canada.
Nano-ceramic is our premium film, with superior UV protection and a cooler, more comfortable cabin. Metallic is a hybrid dye-metallic film that adds style and strong UV protection at a lower price. Classic is the most affordable option and still cuts glare, blocks UV and helps keep the cabin cooler.
Yes. All three of our films block harmful UV rays, which protects your skin and slows fading and cracking of the interior. They also cut glare and help keep the cabin cooler. Read more on window tint benefits and UV protection tint.
The film goes on the inside of the glass, where it is protected from weather, wipers and car washes.
Small water pockets and a slight haze are common right after installation and clear up as the film cures. Bubbles that are still there once the film has cured are not normal, so let us know. See window tint bubbles and our tint aftercare guide.
Each film comes in a range of VLTs. VLT means visible light transmission: the lower the number, the darker the film. Darker film adds privacy, and lighter film keeps more visibility at night. We'll help you choose. Our guide to ceramic tint clarity explains the trade-offs.
Yes. Tint is installed indoors, so the weather outside doesn't affect the work. Film can take a little longer to cure in cold weather, and we'll tell you how long to keep the windows up after your appointment.
